DESCRIPTION:Since it began in September 2003 the “Geology 101 on Foot” series has raised almost $90\,000 to support the Bruce Trail Conservancy’s mission to secure and steward a Conservation Corridor on the Niagara Escarpment. \nIf you have an interest in learning about geology\, and an enthusiasm for the Niagara Escarpment and its protection\, please join us this fall! \nAdvanced registration is mandatory by phone or email (preferred). A “tuition fee” in the form of a donation to The Bruce Trail Conservancy will be collected on each hike.\n(Donations of $10 or more receive a tax receipt). \nPlease visit the Bruce Trail Conservancy website here for full hike descriptions and registration details. \n

SUMMARY:Headwater Hikes: Walker Woods\, Uxbridge
DESCRIPTION:Join the Green Durham Association and the Ontario Headwaters Institute at 10 am Sunday\, October 16 for a guided walk and the dedication of a new trail through Walker Woods\, which shows the hike location and trail information. The Green Durham Association was one of the 20 partners in the 2015 launch of the OHI’s Headwater Hikes program\, and have done a huge amount of work creating this trail and a system of directional signage. We look forward to joining them and seeing the fall colours that grace the top of the Moraine – a source of many of Ontario streams and much of our region’s groundwater. \n
