DESCRIPTION:Canadians love hiking… and what’s not to love? Fresh air\, exercise\, beautiful scenery\, a budget-friendly workout in every season. Hiking makes sense! \nIn celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday and our country’s love of hiking\, we’re running a contest from February 15 – April 15\, 2017.  \n \nOur 150 Great Canadian Hikes contest asks Canadians to submit their favorite places to hike (within Canada). \nELIGIBLE ENTRIES SHOULD INCLUDE: \n1. The name of the Canadian hiking trail or location you are submitting/nominating.\n2. A photo of the destination entered and a link (if available) for more information.\n3. Your contact information (if submitted by email).\n4. You must also agree that once submitted\, your entry becomes the property of Urban Poling to use as desired (on our website\, social media\, etc.) \nBased on the entries received and those selected for inclusion\, Urban Poling will create a list of 150 Great Canadian Hikes following the contest that will be published on our website and made available to encourage hiking as a terrific\, four-season form of fitness. We will of course also be promoting the benefits of using our poles for a full-body workout on the trails! DESCRIPTION:On Saturday March 25th\, 2017\, Fleming College’s Ecosystem Management Technology Program is hosting this year’s annual Ecosystem Health Conference: Healthy Planet\, Healthy Minds. The conference will explore our shared connections with the natural world\, and in particular the restorative powers of nature to improve our mental health and well-being. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, March 25\, 2017 \n7 p.m. and 8 p.m. tour times \nIsland Lake Conservation Area\, Orangeville	 \n$12 \nBring a friend or your sweetheart to be guided by lamplight through the story of the maple sugarbush. Finish the tour with a warm campfire treat\, a decadent taste of maple taffy and traditional nut roasting demonstration. \nMaple product and roasted nuts will be available for purchase. \nAppropriate for ages 16+. \nTickets are available for a 7 p.m. tour and an 8 p.m. tour.
