DESCRIPTION:Owl Prowl in the Rouge! \nWondering what might be active in the late days of winter? Come and investigate what the owls of Rouge Valley might be up to. Discover who&#8217;s out there on an evening of discovery and adventure with the Rouge Valley Conservation Centre biologists. The night will begin with a short presentation on owls and their ecology as well as our local coyotes\, followed by a trip into the woods. Enjoy the crisp winter air and the peacefulness and dark skies of the Valley as you listen for their calls. Learn and perhaps see first hand the mysterious world of the owl.Please dress warmly and bring a travel mug for hot chocolate\, tea and coffee which will be provided. This event is free\, but there is a suggested donation of $5 per person to cover costs. Recommended for adults and children over five years of age. Please make sure to wear boots\, hats\, scarfs\, mitts and to dress in layers. There will be crafts and activities for kids before and during the presentation to keep them busy. \nEvent Date and Time: Saturday\, February 11 and Sunday February 12\, 2017 from 7:00pm &#8211; 8:30pm (presentation 7:00-7:30pm; hike 7:30-8:30pm)\nCost: suggested donation of $5 per person \nYou must RSVP to attend this event. Was that creature looking for food or was it traveling on a secret animal highway? These are all important questions when you are an animal track detective. Join us as we search for animal tracks inside Downsview Park’s meadows and forests. \nFor more information and directions\, please visit DownsviewPark.ca \nAll participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This program may take place on rough trails\, strollers are not recommended. Please do not bring animals to Nature Connection programs and remember to dress for the weather. \n
