DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, January 7\, 2017\n8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.\nMeet at rare ECO Centre \nThe Christmas Bird Count for Kids (CBC4Kids) is a fun winter birdwatching event based on the traditional Christmas Bird Count. Participants build bird identification and monitoring skills while contributing to real Citizen Science! The goal is to promote nature appreciation\, ecological literacy\, and environmental stewardship in the next generation of naturalists. \nBird Studies Canada has been the proud Canadian partner in the Christmas Bird Counts for Kids program since 2010.\nThe rare Charitable Research Reserve in partnership with Waterloo Region Nature Kids is hosting a Christmas Bird Count for Kids on Saturday\, January 7. This is a family event\, where parents learn alongside their kids. \nThis event is FREE\, but registration is required on the Event page here.  \n
