DESCRIPTION:Envirothon gets students outdoors\, to experience nature first hand and hands on! Envirothon is a unique team competition that rewards students for learning about the natural world around them. Local conservation organizations partner to provide students with interactive field trips and workshops to help them understand forests\, soils\, wildlife\, aquatic ecosystems and the human impact on all of the things we value in nature. SUMMARY:Ausable Bayfield Conservation: Summer Nature Day Camps
DESCRIPTION:For full information\, please visit the Ausable Bayfield Conservation website here.  \nLocation: Morrison Dam Conservation Area\, just two kilometres east of Exeter \nAim and description:  \nThe second day camp is Summer Nature Day Camp for youths ages 10 to 12. This is the return of the Wonder\, Investigate\, Learn\, and Discover (WILD) camp that began last year. It takes place July 25-29\, 2016. There are only 20 spots so staff members invite you to register early as space is limited. This camp also takes place at MDCA but it includes an overnight experience on the Thursday night in tents at Morrison Dam Conservation Area. Cost is $200 per child per week. (Cost is $225 after April 22).  \nConservation educators say this camp is ideal for young people who love being outdoors; who enjoy hiking and exploring; who like to “get their hands dirty”; and who want to learn about nature. \nFor more information on Summer Nature Day Camps visit abca.on.ca. \n

SUMMARY:Downsview Park: Stewardship
DESCRIPTION:A FREE stewardship activity geared towards teenagers or adults. \n \n\n\n\nJoin the Downsview Park Stewardship Team for an evening of outdoor activity\, no experience required.  We work to restore natural areas through activities like tree planting\, mulching\, wildlife surveys\, seed collection and invasive species removal. \nThis summer the Downsview Park Stewardship Team will be improving our meadows and forests through invasive species control and seed collection. \nWe&#8217;ll be active outside\, please bring clothes that can get dirty.  Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required and a water bottle is recommended.  Downsview Park provides tools\, training. \nAll ages are welcome but all participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
