DESCRIPTION:For full information\, please visit the Ausable Bayfield Conservation website here.  \nLocation: Morrison Dam Conservation Area\, just two kilometres east of Exeter \nAim and description:  \nThe first Summer Nature Day Camp takes place July 11-15\, 2016. This nature camp is for children ages 6 to 9. There are only 20 spots and registration is required. Each day of camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Early drop-off and late pick-up are available.) Cost is $170 per child per week. Camp organizers say the camp is a chance to question\, discover\, and learn all about the living natural world in a safe and friendly environment. SUMMARY:Couchiching Conservancy: Walk at Grant's Woods - Shinrin Yoku
DESCRIPTION:Full Event Details. \n“Join us in Orillia with the Couchiching Conservancy for a Shinrin-Yoku walk through the old growth forest of Grant’s Woods. Lead by Ben Porchuk\, Head of the Canadian Chapter of Forest Therapy Guides and Programs. Ben is one of 5 certified Forest Therapy Guides in Canada. Ben’s walks are mindful\, poignant and get to the core of relaxation and connection with nature. For close to 40 years\, scientific research has demonstrated the many health benefits of Shinrin-Yoku\, including lowering stress\, stabilizing moods\, boosting one’s immune system and lowering blood pressure. \nShinrin-Yoku or Forest Bathing Walk\, meeting at the Grants Woods (Couchiching Conservancy Head Office Parking Lot). Please pre-register and arrive arrive no later than 12:50am. Please check the night before (ben.porchuk@restorativenatureexperiences.com) to confirm the walk is proceeding (may be rescheduled due to extreme weather forecast). Bring good footwear\, a sunhat\, sunscreen and insect repellent (optional). \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPace/Level of Walk: The walk will be at a deliberately slow pace. There will be several sitting breaks for reflection. The terrain at times may be steep. We do walk in the rain and in moderate windy/ snowy conditions. \nPayment Methods: Online preferred\, you may send a cheque (37 Elmwood Ave. E.\, The Forest City\, ON\, N6C1J1). \nPostponed/Rescheduled Walks: The walk may be re-scheduled due to poor weather (however\, we do walk in the rain) or low attendance.
