SUMMARY:Conservation Halton: Maple Town
DESCRIPTION:Mountsberg’s sugar bush has been producing maple magic for almost 150 years\, and educating the public for more than 30 years! Approximately 600 trees are tapped during what could certainly be deemed the most Canadian of the seasons\, where watery sap is transformed into sweet maple syrup in the Sugar Shanty. \nSee how sap is magically transformed into sweet\, sticky syrup\, and smell the fragrant steam rising from simmering kettles. Learn the secrets of making Maple Candy and taste FREE candy samples. *Enjoy piping hot pancakes smothered in fresh maple syrup outdoors under our pavilion nestled in the woods. *Enjoy a guided wagon ride through the sugar bush and learn about the history of maple syrup. Climb\, jump\, and run in the Play Barn. See dramatic birds of prey demonstrations in the Raptor Centre at 11am\, 12pm\, 1pm\, 2pm & 3pm. View bison\, eagles\, hawks and owls along the Wildlife Walkway. Participate in even more exciting activities over our “Theme Weekends.” \nPlease visit our Maple Town Website for more information here. \nFREE with regular gate admission! *Please note that additional fees apply for pancakes and wagon rides. \n
