DESCRIPTION:Meet at St. Jude’s Anglican Church – 160 William St. Oakville\, ON \nFree Event. Open to the Public. Light Refreshments. Registration required (RSVP here). \nGreening Sacred Spaces Halton Peel Chapter presents: Beyond the Garden Gates! We’re having a walking garden tour of three downtown Oakville churches. We will be visiting St. Jude’s Anglican Church\, Knox Presbyterian Church and St. John’s United Church. A representative from each faith community will provide a guided tour of their gardens. We will learn about garden maintenance\, the history of their garden and their church as well as have an opportunity to network with other like-minded individuals who are passionate about their faith and the environment. \nWe will also have a presentation called ‘Top Native Plants for your Yard’ by Melanie Kramer from Credit Valley Conservation where she will discuss the best local native plants for home and faith community gardens and how to plant for pollinators and bees. \nThis is an amazing opportunity to relax\, have a stroll in beautiful downtown Oakville and learn to be a good garden steward of the environment. \nTo sign up for our monthly newsletter to receive spiritual and environmental news and events in the Halton and Peel Regions click here. \n
