SUMMARY:Downsview Park: Tree Planting Event
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join us on Sunday\, September 25\, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. to participate in a special tree planting! \nOur goal is to plant 1\,000 trees in support of the Highway of Heroes Living Tribute. Their mandate is to plant 117\,000 trees in total\, one for each of Canada’s fallen soldiers since Confederation\, in order to turn highway 401 and areas within its proximity into a living memorial. \nNo experience or tools are necessary. We’ll provide everything you need\, from shovels to equipment\, and our experienced Park staff will be on hand to guide you through the tree planting. You may drop-in at any time between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. \nAlso\, join us at 9:30 a.m. as dignitaries and guests will be on hand for a ceremonial tree planting to kick off the occasion. \nPlease RSVP here or email us at downsviewinfo@clc.ca to let us know that you’re coming! \n
